Abstract:

Even though the Technological Development and the Transfer of Technological Knowledge (DTyTCT) as functions of the Engineering Faculties (EFs) are generally included in their Missions and Objectives, these processes are not traditionally institutionalized, or the respective organizational structures do not respond to necessary requirements for its achievement. These are not processes that occur naturally, but require specific regulations, institutional re-engineering, greater public-private interaction and actions that promote the development of linking processes between the agents that make up the institution and between them and the environment. This paper proposes a management, planning and evaluation model for EFs, taking as a case study the National Technological University (UTN) of Argentina, orienting its actions to the DTyTCT as a common thread for all its functions. We understand that, beyond the particularities of the university in question, the presented model could be adapted and transferred to different EFs in Latin America.
