Abstract:

In the rural area the Union-Duran there are a series of informal enterprises which were originated mostly by necessity rather than opportunity. The lack of instruction of entrepreneurs in management issues has generated unstructured businesses. This project seeks to boost the productivity of these entrepreneurships by restructuring business processes contributing to improve the quality of life of La Unión-Durán. For this purpose, three phases were developed: diagnosis, analysis, training and design. In the first one, an investigation was carried out allowing to know the condition of the business, making it possible in a second phase, to execute a direct observation that produced an analysis of the enterprises. The last phase involved training the owners in the areas where fallacies were found and finally redesigning the processes adjusting them to their environment. The methodology employed included interviews, observation and continuous monitoring as the main instruments that allowed the generation of a customized process improvement guide that enabled a greater profitability and sustainability of the entrepreneurship.
