Abstract:

In Argentina, the Higher Education Law establishes regulations for careers whose professional practice could cause some risks to the inhabitants. Those professional activities area called Reserved Activities. In May 2018, the Ministry of Education reviewed these activities for these professions. The Federal Council of Deans of Engineering (CONFEDI) developed a proposal for new accreditation standards in agree with the new Reserved Activities. The main aspects of the proposed standars developed by CONFEDI, contained in the document “Second Generation Standards for engineering careers accreditation process, in Argentina”, also known as Red Book, are presented.
