Abstract:

This article presents a novel mechanical design for a mobile robot capable to carry a load of up to 30kg. With this design, in addition to being able to transport the load from one place to another, it allows the positioning of the load at different heights. This design includes the structural frame, the mobility system, the mast, the fork carriage, the forks and the vertical ascending / descending system that will house the robot's load. To ensure that the design is as strong and light as possible, a structural analysis was carried out to select the material from which it is made. Modeling was done in detail in the CAD Solidworks. Finally, this design was validated as a small-scale forklift.
