Abstract:

In the present investigation, the number of vehicular trips generated in a generator pole was quantified and a direct relation was established with the variables associated with the trips produced and attracted in these TGP (Travel Generating Poles). As a result, mathematical relations were obtained, curves showing the relationship of variables vs vehicle trips, coefficients of determination and travel generation rates. The variables identified are gross area of the land, number of parking spaces, number of cash registers and number of services which the supermarket does count. The independent variables that has been presented the best coefficient were the gross area of the supermarket and the number of parking spaces, with values ranging between 0.85 and 0.95 for one of the variables. Logarithmic and linear correlations were compared, observing that the best values were the logarithmic ones for supermarkets in Metropolitan Lima.
