Abstract:

The process of transferring students between institutions of professional education is an open challenge for many educational institutions in the world. It is necessary to identify the administrative obstacles, the curricular differences of the technical education between the countries and the limitations of knowledge of different languages to favor the access, the stay and the success of foreign students. This paper presents an analysis of the process of transferring a foreign student from a technical institution in Argentina to our federal institution of technological education in Brazil, observing the administrative process, the student's enrollment and the conclusion of a school period. The results observed from the use of the content analysis technique showed that the experience gained favored the internationalization and interculturality of students and teachers of the institution, as well as revealing new possibilities for action in the sense of strengthening students' global citizenship
