Abstract:

This article presents a comparative analysis of the level of innovation between Colombia and Spain, from a cultural and socioeconomic dimension with a qualitative approach, recognizing the role played by Higher Education Institutions and the investment in science and technology in the consolidation of processes and results of innovation culture. A general review of two of the world's leading innovation rankings, the Global Innovation Index (GII) and the Bloomberg Innovation Index (BII), the Global Values Survey, and Cultural Dimension Theory Hofstede in order to determine the relationships and interdependencies between culture, education and innovation with available global data.
