Abstract:

This study evaluated the variables that influence the sensitization phenomenon, which is a corrosive process, susceptible in austenitic stainless steels of the 300 series, with carbon contents equal to or greater than 0.03%. The materials studied are according to the American Iron and Steel Institute AISI (1),[1], standard, being the materials AISI 304, 304L, 316 and 316L the degree of intergranular corrosion of austenitic stainless steels
