Abstract:

This research aims to propose a strategy with a scientific basis that minimizes the cost of distributing products from a central plant to points of sale. This strategy has two phases: first schedule which outlets to stock each week within the period of analysis, and then develop a routing plan for the outlets each week. A linear programming model is presented for each of the phases. This strategy is applied to a bank of Lima for the distribution of debit cards offered to new customers who wish to have a savings account. Comparing the proposed distribution with the current one is a saving in logistic costs.
