Abstract:

A simulation model is presented as an experimentation platform for the operation of a small scale manufacturing / distribution logistics chain, aimed especially at students and professionals involved in its planning, design and operation. It is expected that the use of the model allows them to evaluate the performance of different scenarios that are presented in the real world and analyze different situations allowing the development of skills and competencies for decision making. It is of connoting in the construction of the model, the joint use of the methods: simulation based on agents and discrete events, besides the use of GIS technology.
