Abstract:

This work aims to show a methodology that supports higher education teachers in the way to integrate new information and communication technologies in the teaching-learning process. In order to recognize the importance that Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) have today, since they are present in our lives and have transformed it. The native generations in this great digital era, have witnessed first hand their growth and consolidation in everyday life, having to live with other generations who have witnessed this technological innovation, in some cases without getting involved (as some teachers) The information and communication technologies, applied in an appropriate way, support the exercise of quality education and learning, the professional development of teachers, as well as the efficient management of the educational system, in addition, its use has an impact significant in the development of student learning and in strengthening their skills for life and work that will favor their insertion in the knowledge society. This article shows a part of the work done in a thesis where a research was carried out for the design of a PEAT methodology (Teaching-Learning Process with Technology), which allows to support higher education teachers to integrate the use of new technologies of information and communication in the teaching-learning process, in its teaching practice
