Abstract:

Many companies, especially those related to the construction industry, are making efforts aimed to produce new waste-derived materials. Chemical and thermal characterization of lime powder, a solid waste derived from limestone processing, was carried out. This thermally stable material is composed of CaO, SiO2, Al2O3 and Fe2O3, which makes it suitable for use in the production of clinker and as an additive to Portland cement.
