Abstract:

This article describes the hospital beds optimization in a public hospital that provides service at the south of Lima. The model is based on the analysis of the areas of emergency and medical consulting rooms, where the entry procedure to hospitalization is initiated; then, using a model of the process in software Arena 14.7, we proceed to assign the number of beds in different areas of hospitalization, significant achieving of this investigation is that reduced about 30% the waiting time of patient and improved hospital management indicators.
