Abstract:

This paper summarizes the studies to design an assembly plant of induction magnetic kitchenettes, to cooperate in the decrease of the use of liquefied petroleum gas due to smuggling on the Ecuadorian border and the subsidy expenditures. To design the plant is done a market study to calculate the monthly installed capacity of the production lines which are: 4.200 kitchenettes of 1 burner for fixed customer whose annual demand is 50.000 units, 480 kitchenettes of 2 burners with annual demand of 5.585 units and 1.080 kitchenettes of 4 burner with an annual demand of 12.432 units for potential customers. Then, it’s realize a study of localization where determine that optimal location of the plant. Later, it’s performed an analysis of the production process for design the production lines of the 3 types of kitchens and the handling and storage materials analysis to determine the loading unit, transport and storage of the raw material, inputs and finished product. Also, the Systematic Planning Layout method is used to determine the distribution of the plant and the relationship between each department and makes an organizational study to identify the company chart and finally it makes a financial study to determine the profitability of the project.
