Abstract

This article provides a brief overview of a curriculum monitoring model which has been developed by the Curriculum Committee of undergraduate Agricultural Engineering program at the Technological Institute of Costa Rica (TEC). At the beginning of the paper, the curriculum management is presented as a factor which helps to fill any gaps between written, taught, learned and assessed curricula. Afterwards, some processes and reasons behind the curriculum monitoring and management are discussed. Also, several significant aspects of the model implementation are exposed. Besides, a few examples of execution of this model are given. Finally, some ideas about the adaptability and value of this model for the curricular management and quality assurance are also shared.
