INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECT PROCUREMENT: the application of Specialist Task Organisation (STO) approach

Abstract:

This paper explores procurement strategies in infrastructure development via a literature survey. It begins with the conventional routes through market-oriented packaged forms in relation to financing strategies. The main objective of this paper is to present some results of a research project which aimed at fragmenting the supply chain through complete specialisation. The paper explains the principle behind STO route, its present form of development, application in infrastructure procurement and further area of development.
