Paper Title:

Some Node Increase Update approaches based on Traffic Increase in IP-Backbone Network Topology Evolution

Abstract:

Followed by the increase of network traffic, IP-Backbone Network topology must be updated to satisfy the traffic increase. Based on traffic increase, we have two basic topology update methods to adapt the traffic increase – node increase update method and update link capacity method. For node increase update method, we provided several node increase algorithms for the evolution of IP-Backbone Network. With simulation we found that: in node increase update method, increasing a node by mirroring the larger burden load nod to evolution in the most burden link has the most efficient evolution result, increasing a node by random select a mirror node in the most burden link has the second efficient result and increasing a node by mirroring the lighter burden load nod to evolution in the most burden link has the worst result. Compare with random topology generation method named [BRITE] in [2], our algorithms has more efficient for topology evolution by adding nodes and links.
