Description
This workshop will focus on the fundamentals of accreditation processes for engineering programs. It will emphasize the elements of accreditation common to most accreditation agencies throughout the world. Critical components of accreditation processes such as evaluation and continuous improvement will be discussed. The workshop is interactive with significant opportunity for conversation and exchange of ideas.
Individuals with all levels of accreditation experience are welcome. Faculty and administrators interested in or considering accreditation for their programs would significantly benefit from this workshop.
This workshop is open to anyone interested in accreditation and is Module A of the LACCEI Par Amigo Program. The Par Amigo Program is an effort to form a group of individuals familiar with accreditation to assist engineering programs in the selection of an appropriate accrediting agency and in the completion of a successful accreditation process. LACCEI is not and does not aspire to be an accrediting agency. Its accreditation activities are designed to help programs connect with accrediting agencies and to successfully complete the accreditation process of their choice.

Engineers Canada Accreditation Process - Module B

Description
This workshop will cover the elements of the Engineers Canada accreditation process. Program preparation, evaluation and assessment, required reports, timelines and costs will be discussed in detail. Interactive activities will serve to strengthen participants' understanding of the Engineers Canada accreditation system.
Individuals interested in accreditation in general will benefit from this workshop. Faculty and administrators involved in the process of selecting an accreditation system for their programs will obtain valuable information to help them consider and assess Engineers Canada as an accreditation system for their programs.
This workshop is open to anyone interested in accreditation and is Module B of the LACCEI Par Amigo Program. This Module focuses on a specific accrediting agency so that Pares Amigos can assist engineering programs considering or using a specific accrediting agency. The Par Amigo Program is an effort to form a group of individuals familiar with accreditation to assist engineering programs in the selection of an appropriate accrediting agency and in the completion of a successful accreditation process.
